Freedom is a two-edged sword.
It is my freedom to choose what I want. But then, I must accept the consequences of my choice.
I am free to walk off the edge of a cliff, but then I must accept the pull of gravity
that makes me fall.
I am free to choose my direction. I can choose which flight I want to take. Then I
must accept the customs and weather of where that plane will take me.
My choices lead to where I've never been before. Each moment is new to me. I must guess and hope that each new moment is for my benefit and is the best choice I could make at the time. These choices are mostly done automatically from my subconscious. I don't go through the day, deciding each moment what to do.
Every now and then, I consider my direction. I become conscious of where I am
going and what I am doing with my life. This brings my freedom to the forefront of my conscious mind. I must stop and consider:
Where do I want to go on my vacation? Bali? Japan? Paris? How about Mexico? I am free to choose.
It works the same with my life.
What do I want to go or be in my life?
Brain surgeon?
Star football player?
Movie star?
I am free to choose at any time what I want to do with my life.
My conscious mind limits my choices and reminds me:
I don't have the education to be a brain surgeon;
I don't have the physique to be a star football player;
I don't have the charisma to be movie star.
All I am free to be is me.
God says, "I am that I am, and that that I am, I am!"
I am a soul - intelligent energy. As a soul I am completely free.
I am connected to my physical body that talks, walks, breathes, thinks, acts and is stuck to planet earth by gravity. My body is a slave to the laws of the universe.
The soul part of me is completely free, gravity cannot hold the real me, there is no right or wrong. There is nothing to gain or to lose, there is no time. There is only the now.
I am attached to my physical body by a spiritual (meaning invisible) cord. My body is like an anchor that holds me - a free soul - to planet earth - to a segment of time.
As a soul I have no limitations.
As a body I have appointments, deadlines, speed limits, schedules. I get hungry,
thirsty. The soul needs no food, needs not be anywhere, it just is. It lives in the now, and there is nothing else - just the now. Being one with all means there is nothing else.
I live in two worlds at the same time. I am an infinite soul that lives in a physical,
finite body. I can feel the freedom, infinite, eternalness of my soul. And I can enjoy the bliss of a warm breeze, a beautiful sunset, a gentle rain on my body.
There is a caveat.
As a soul - unlimited, eternal, infinite - there is only the now. I experience the whole universe completely in one moment - NOW.
There is only the now. I experience the whole universe completely. Being one with all things means there is nothing else to do, go or be. I am everything.
As a body, I have limitations. I get hungry. I get thirsty. I get restless. I want to do
something, I want to go somewhere. I want to feel stimulated by other energies.
The reality is: I am a soul that has a body. I am an unlimited being that uses a body to create limitation so I can experience life. As a soul I am everything, every
experience, every thought, every feeling that ever was.
As a body I have bills to pay, a messy room to clean, a sore back, clothes to wash,
etc.
I came to enjoy all of it. It is my choice to enjoy my body and all that it gets into, or not!
I came here to enjoy every moment.
If I am not enjoying every moment- I am doing something wrong. I have made a wrong choice.
