Are you ready to deepen your spiritual connection?
After decades of experience, I've discovered that communicating with my guides is about
creating real partnership. These four principles have helped my spiritual
communication—and they can help yours too.
1. Be Decisive
This used to be a big difficulty for me, to the point where I would even throw the I Ching or
toss a coin to make a decision. Now that I've learned how to connect, I can ask my tram of
helpers which of several options is in my best interest, then it's up to me to evaluate and
choose.
Our guides want to work with us to take action based on following our true feelings and
plans.
2. Be Direct
I simply say what's on my mind, just the way that I say it. I don't have to dress it up. They
want the real me—honest and straightforward.
When I get to the point and let them know clearly where I'm at, there's a useful starting
point for backing.
For example: "I'm scared about taking on this opportunity and I need help feeling
confident."
3. Be Specific
If there's something that I want, I need to specify it as much as possible. Is it something
large or small, bright or dull. Give descriptions. This helps them to help me. I can always
adjust what I'm asking for. I just need to be clear about my basic intention.
For example: "I want a better relationship" is vague. “ I want a loving and fun relationship”
begins to clarify it.
It's like ordering at a restaurant. "Something good" is vague, but "the grilled salmon
with lemon” is clear.
You can always adjust your request as you progress. The key is giving your guides
something concrete to work with.
4. Express Yourself with a Kind Heart
Before making any request, I check my motives. Am I asking from a place of love and
growth, or from fear and limitation? Being aware of my motives, I know if I'm in alignment
with my heart and head to move ahead with kindness and consideration for myself and
any other people that are involved.
Remember, our guides love to communicate with us. Through practicing these keys, I've
developed the ability to engage in ongoing, worthwhile communication with my guides. I
use all four of my means of perception and teamwork with them is based on listening to
their suggestions then making my choices.
