Is it worth my energy? The Noisy Red Car

21 August 2025 11:30 PM

Energy has always fascinated me. It surrounds us, and we rely on it every single day in our modern world.

How is it that energy is so powerful, yet we can’t see it? I wanted to understand more, because sometimes, we fear what we don’t understand.

Scientists have proven that the human body generates about a hundred watts of power. And when we see a pregnant woman, she often has a beautiful glow — that’s the additional energy from the fetus.

At the other end of the scale — what’s missing from a cadaver? The energy. So, if we are energy, how can we use it to our advantage to create more peace in our lives? Our energy is regulated by our heart. Yogis call it the heart chakra. When our heart is open, energy flows… abundantly.

I remember when I first fell in love — it was an incredible feeling. With my energy flowing, I had purpose. I felt as if I could take on the world. Positive things kept happening, like waves relentlessly crashing onto the beach.

Until… she told me she didn’t want to see me again.

My heart sank. That energy …now a slow… dripping… tap. I felt depressed. The kitchen sink overflowed with dishes, and I looked like a castaway. I was at the bottom of the emotional barrel, plagued by negative thoughts.

Then the phone rang…

She said she missed me and needed to see me! As I hung up, my heart chakra blasted open again. I cleaned the house, cleaned myself — energy restored. I was on top of the world.

What did I learn?

Yes, this woman had an effect on me. Obviously a strong one. But it was still my choice to open or close my heart. I am responsible for my energy.

Our energy is like a magnet. When we’re riding high, we attract good things. When we’re low, we attract more of the same.

Let’s go deeper...

Imagine we’re walking along a beautiful country road. It’s early morning, the air is crisp and warm. A lush green forest surrounds us, and laughing kookaburras make us smile.

Our attention is fully present. Our hearts are open. Energy flows through us, lifting us upward.

Then — the sound of an engine. A noisy red car speeds past, drowning out the sounds of nature. The driver leans out the window and flips us the bird.

Our heart closes. We feel anger, frustration. We forget the beauty around us. Our mind races with imagined confrontations. Our energy spirals downward.

Our life is literally littered with noisy red cars every day — toothpaste squeezed from the top, dirty dishes in the sink, that maniac who cuts us off in traffic, or the work colleague who rattles our cage.

The key is awareness. Ask yourself:
Is this worth my energy?

If I react, how will it affect the other person — and me?

With self-awareness, we begin to shift. We grow stronger by practicing on the small things that happen every day in our lives.

So the next time you feel anger, jealousy, or frustration rising…

See it as the noisy red car.
You don't have to chase it.
You don't have to let it in.
Just let it pass on by.
Just let it go.

We look forward to supporting you on this journey.
