When I first looked at all the others participating, I knew that some had been involved for 20, 30, and even 40 years. I felt more than a little out of place.

But, I had already seen in multiple courses that simply following the instructor notes makes it work. The pace was reasonable, and I kept up fine.  When I re-read my notes, I am pleasantly surprised by how much I got.

Doing my part in the sharing was easier than I would have guessed.  I saw that I already had what is needed to start, and from others, several ways to continue.  During sharing, I repeatedly noticed a sense of community.  That they weren’t there simply because it was a requirement.  They were where they wanted to be, with those they wanted to be with, to get better at doing what they loved.  It was wonderful to be a part of it.
